Fall Photo Shoot and trip to Blossom

This past weekend we went to Blossom, Texas for my 15 year High School Class Reunion. Yes, I'm THAT old! While there my Mom (Sue-Sue) babysat Hooper for the first time by herself and had a ball. Hooper also got to meet my brother, his Uncle Chris for the first time and thought he was quiet handsome. I think the feeling was mutual. Before we left Mom and I dressed Hooper up in this adorable outfit his Mammaw (Frances) bought him and had our own little photo shoot. It was so much fun! He didn't quiet enjoy it as much as Sue-Sue and I did.

(Please forgive the layout of the photos and text. I CANNOT figure out what I've done to make them into this arrangement. I'm about to pull my hair out trying to fix it, so I give up! BUT make sure you scroll to the very bottom of the blog before quitting as there are GAPS between pictures and text too!)

Aut WAS in the deer woods but came out to play with Hooper for a couple days. Can you blame him?

My what BIG eyes you have! We finally figured out who he got these from.....ME! Yes, finally something from me! I'm not just the oven who baked him, ha! I'll post look a like photos later. But I promise, those eyes....they're MINE!!

Meeting his uncle Chris for the first time. Well actually they've met several times, this is just the first time Chris felt comfortable enough to hold him.

Now for the Fall Photo Shoot. He was actually asleep in the second picture, but when he rolled over a bit, he opened his eyes at the exact perfect time I snapped the picture. My little shutter bug!

I just had to snap some "not so flattering" pictures of him too, to capture his FULL personality!

What are you looking at?

Our friend Rebekah came all the way from Commerce just to visit him for a couple hours! She should still be this little herself!

My ex-dog, Moses now lives with Mom and Dad. He gets cold at night so they put a heating pad under his mat and tuck him in. If he's really cold he'll cover up his own head under the covers too! Talk about SPOILED! I just couldn't resist posting this picture!

As usual, Aut had Hooper wound up giggling. I took these from across the room so they're a little blurry. But look how much fun Hooper's having! When he gets really tickled he bury's his face either with his hands or into who ever is holding him. It's adorable!

That's it! He's tuckered out!

Thanks for stopping by!

Mommy Time and Meeting New Friends

Dee said I didn't have enough pictures of Hooper and me on here so he took the liberty and camera and took some....especially since we were both in our overalls (totally unplanned by the way). So please don't think I'm being "all about me" in these pictures.
Look how good Hooper is holding his bottle. My big man!

Last Thursday evening some of my girlfriends came over with their babies for a mommy and baby play date. We have all known each other for 10 years now (this past August). We were laughing at how times have sure changed in the past 10 years. Back then we were all single and having a ball together back at Prestonwood Baptist Church in the Singles Dept. chasing boys. Tonight we sat on the floor with our baby boys trying to get them to laugh and do tricks. Life is good! Here's the babies in order from left to right: Keaton Mathews (born June 30 of last year so he's almost one full year older than Hooper), Tyler and Ryland Thompson (twins born 7 weeks before Hooper) and of course the man himself...Hooper Harris!Tina and her little men, Tyler and Ryland. How she handles twins I'll never know! She says she knows no different, so I guess that's it. Also God is VERY GOOD!!!! Patti and her angel, Keaton.
Keaton loved Hooper's blanket. Check out the commerical in the background. It took me a minute to figure out what was going on...why was there a HUGE Denny's coffee cup in my living room?
Keaton is playing in Hooper's crib with him, showing him how this fish toy works. He has one at home, so he's a pro!
Isn't this cute? Boys playing together. I'm sure they'll love this when they get older!
After a long night of playing Hooper was ready for bed. Here's some random photos of us playing in the floor before bath time.
Check out this figure!
If you can't figure it out he's grabbing his foot here. Tonight's the first time he's done this. We're not sure if he "discovered" his foot or if he's just trying to hold on for dear life and not fall over. Can someone say "Plummers Crack." I know he'll thank me some day for this one!
Here he is all ready for bed in his favorite pj's, Dee's co-worker, Jill gave Hooper these when he was born and he loves them! Thanks Jill!

Hooper's First Halloween

Hooper's First Halloween was a huge success. He had a wonderful time as you can see. We took him Trick or Treating at Grand Homes (where I worked before having Hooper). They go all out each year decorating each department differently and all the workers in each dept. dress accordingly. It was hilarious! I know this may come as a total surprise to some of you but we went dressed up in our Tennessee attire. Hooper was the UT Football player, Dee was Coach Fulmer (UT's head coach) and I was dressed as and in reality am Hooper's Biggest Fan. We're trying hard to get him to smile here. No luck, ugh! Those cheeks are just too heavy.
Hooper was more intriqued with his rings than the people and candy.
Hooper meeting Mikayala for the first time. It looks like he's trying to hold her hand.
This is Mar'Sue, the wonderful lady I worked for at Grand Homes. She's soo cute. The Sales and Marketing Dept. were all Hillbillies. Mar'Sue really has pretty teeth....promise!
Chris Shewmake, Head Architect was getting some "practing" in. He is expecting his first child March 31, 2008. Congratulations Chris, you'll be a GRAND daddy!
If you cannot figure this out, Hooper is getting his first (and better be his only) mugshot. And he is NOT happy about it to say the least.
Dee and Hooper with Mr. Muscles himself, Cory.
After all the partying Hooper was ready for bed. We thought we'd let him wear his cute Halloween PJ's to bed. Check out those Jack-o-Lantern feet. His Aunt Donna bought these for him. Thanks Donna, he loves them!!!
Hoop posing and looking rather "wide eyed" to be going to bed soon.
Instead of going to bed he decided just to sit on it and ride it like a horse. I think he must have had too much candy tonight, ha.
Check out what his pj's say...."I want my Mummy!" Well he finally made it to bed after all. But he must watch his fish first before off to sleepy land.
Although he does not roll comletely over yet, he does 360* spins all the time. And he kicks his fish toy on and off all night in the midst of spinning around. At random times during the night I hear it singing on the monitor and Hooper's fast asleep just kicking away.
Notice the thumb in the mouth. I could hear this loud sucking noise coming from his room and when I went in this is what I found at 2:30 am. He was wide awake that night until 4:45 am. Dee and I finally figured out why....Mommy at a bunch of Halloween candy then passed it on to Hooper before bedtime. Boy did I learn that lesson...no more candy before bedtime for Mommy!

I was trying to get a picture of Hooper's crib and fishy toy at night so show what it looks like to him at bedtime but everytime the flash kept lighting things up like the above pictures. I finally had to manually turn the flash off to get it to show. You can't tell but the fish and seaweed sway in the water, bubbles float up around them and it plays very peaceful music. I get sleepy listening to it all the time. Makes me want to crawl up in his crib with him.
That's all for Hooper's first Halloween. Night night~!

Random cute photos

There is no great occassion for this blog, just some photos I thought were cute and wanted to share.

Hooper's Aut and Sue-Sue bought him these adorable overalls last weekend and he's adorable in them to say the least!

Hooper's high chair sits right next to Dee's chair at the table and they think this is play time. Every meal Hooper stares Dee down until he starts playing with him. Then it's squeal city!

Uh, Dad....I don't think I'm suppose to be standing on the table. Last Friday night I had the ladies from our Sunday School class over so Dee took Hooper and had guys night in the garage/wood shop. I went out to check on them and this is what I found. Dee is a GREAT Daddy! Hooper is not in this picture I know, but it's cute nonetheless. Gibson "uses" us to see out the windows up front. He acts like he wants lovin' from Dee then just stands on him to look outside.

Even though Hooper still is not the greatest fan of "tummy time" he's tolerating it more and more each day. Who could resist this face?
Please excuse the drool, but that's just part of life these days! I feel no teeth or even buds, but he drools and chews so much I know there must be something happening in there.
More Daddy and Hooper fun time. Dee lays Hooper on the ottoman and the fun times are about to begin.
I don't remember what he was doing here, but I love this picture of him!Look at my little Mr. Independent baby holding his bottle all by himself. Well not really, but he sure wants to. If you put it in his mouth and position his hands he'll try and feed himself and actually does a pretty good job...until the bottle moves then he can't figure out how to get it back.Another angle of him holding his bottle.

Now the teething ring he has mastered. He can grab it, pull it to his mouth, chew and repeat over and over again. Dee is right, he is a prodigy child!
Of course Gibson has to be as close to Hooper as he can be at all times. I just pray that Hooper doesn't start sharing his teething ring with him any time soon. Check out the look on Hooper's face. Something's not to his liking.
