Valentines Day 2009 Part 2

Last Thursday the doorbell rang and FedEx was outside. I couldn't imagine what was being delivered as Dee always gives me a heads up on these things. But then I realized it was addressed to Hooper from Mamaw and Papaw, Aunt Donna and Uncle David in TN. That night when Dee got home we let Hooper open the box and imagine our surprise when he found it was packed FULL of toys for him for his Valentines. It was the sweetest thing ever. Hooper had a BLAST going through the toys and each one are his favorite at any given time.
Here are Hooper and his Daddy going through the toys and putting them together.
One of the toys was a Diego book and etch-a-sketch. Huge hit! Who would have known?

Then there is this race car set that is too much fun!

And a basketball game for the bath tub...and the balls squirt water...Hooper thinks this is hilarious when his Daddy squirts him.

And let's not forget the stuffed dog that sings "do ya love me?" and plays an electric guitar.
So after all the opening and playing we had to call Mamaw and Papaw and thank them for ALL the WONDERFUL toys. What a great Valentines surprise!!!!

He's just too busy to talk on the phone!

Thanks again Mamaw, Papaw, Aunt Donna and Uncle David! Y'all are too wonderful to us!
We love you!!!

Valentines Day 2009 Part 1

For Valentines Day we really went all out and got Hooper a mylar heart shaped balloon and he was THRILLED! It now is with us when we change his diaper, eat, or just simply roam around the house. Here are some photos taken yesterday morning of him and his "new love"...the balloon. (oh and of course what goes better with a heart shaped balloon than a hammer, ha! This was part of his Valentines present from Nana and Papa.)
I some how managed to get the balloon with the longest string which turned out to be a huge blessing. Now Dee and I don't have to continually chase the balloon around. The string is long enough that Hooper grabs it whenever he wants. See you have to look for all those little hidden blessings all around you!
I was trying for a cute shot of him with the balloon but he let it go and..well you see he's look up at it instead of posing WITH IT, ugh! He's still too cute though!
Now he's got it.
Not the exact pose I was hoping for. I'm not going to begin to analyze the meaning of this face, ha!
Now he's trying to put it into the toy bin. He just can't figure out why it won't stay.
Oops, lost it again.
Love, love, love this face!
And let's not forget the hair. Dee was fixing his own hair for church and somehow Hooper came out of the bathroom looking like this with him. Don't worry he didn't go to church looking like this. Since the flu is running so rampent around here Hooper and I had church at home and sent Dee alone :(
That's the balloon string...if you haven't already figured it out.

He's just too cute.
I'm not sure what the dill with his tongue is this morning...but it's fun for him and that's all that matters! Right?
He's really in this "wonderful" whining stage, ugh! And that's exactly the sound he's making here. Dee and I just can't get enough of it, ha!
This is it for Part 1 of Valentines Day 2009. More photos to come!

Toys and Tools

This past weekend my parents came for a visit. They're so good, they always come when we have doctor visits to help with the boys. They keep them entertained in the waiting room/hallway or wherever and this allows us a nice quiet sonogram. Otherwise there is NO way Dee could ever get to see or hear anything. Thanks again Mom and Dad!
*
While they were here Hooper conned them into playing outside again. They will throw the ball on top of the roof and let it roll down, and Hooper thinks it's the funniest thing ever! Here he is trying to get them to "do it again." He has this wonderful plastic whistle that he's attached to lately. Well he got Nana to blow it but boy was that a big mistake. It had been in the sand box and she got a mouth FULL of sand. I think she spit for an hour or more!
What is Papa doing? Yes, he's doing an Indian Dance for Hoop.
Love the nose ring.

Love those big blues!
As any good Grandparent does...they come with a surprise each visit. This time was tools.
Look how serious he is about his "drilling."
Love the stool!
On to the REAL tools. Dee is building Hooper's "Big Boy Bed" and Hooper HAS to help his Daddy every step of the way. I think he wants to make sure it turns out just like he wants it.

Peek-A-Boo!
"Here's a clamp Daddy"
The saw dust is so much fun to play with.
Helping Daddy measure. This boy is good!

Forget smiling for the camera anymore. I can barely get him to look directly at me. But the weird thing is..when he's playing with the camera and looking through the screen, he says "cheese." Go figure!

Here's Neyland at 5 months! Ok so not all of that is baby....I can blame some of this on the box of Girl Scout Cookies!
My Dad was so good to help Dee!
I have to steal kisses and hugs anymore, unless he's sleepy or weepy.
But a stolen hug is better than no hug at all!
