Hooper's 1 Month Old

This blog is out of order. The blog below this one titled "First high chair, and great family time" is suppose to be before this. But for the life of me I can't get it back in right order. So you're looking at his 1 month pictures before you are his 6 week photos. This is what I get for waiting so long to update his blog. Sorry.

Hooper with his football at 1 month. We are going to use this to measure how much he grows each month. Notice how his 0-3 month clothes are too tight now.

Here are some sweet sleeping time pictures.

Ok, this is NOT an original idea of mine. I stole it from Jaymie Phillips (Spencer). Here are the many faces of Hooper.
Shy
Happy
Ticked!

Surprised!

Very very ticked!

We have a nightly routine we use to put Hooper to bed. Tonight Dee is doing story time.
Unfortunately it usually puts Dee to sleep before it does Hooper. Even when I do the reading.

Dee putting Hooper's pajama's on after his bathtime.

Naked, cold baby!
Dee feeding Hooper his first bottle. We held off until week number 4 to introduce it to him. He's adapting so well! Hasn't flinched a bit. I wonder if he's even noticed the differece.

New high chair, and some great family time!

Oh my, where to begin? Hooper has changed so much over the past 2 weeks. He has officially outgrown his 0-3 months clothes and is now fitting snuggly into 3-6 months outfits. He also grew out of size Newborn diapers, briefly wore size 1 diapers and is now sporting a size 2. I remember thinking size 2 would not be for a very long time, but boy was I wrong! Weight wise, who knows. Friday a week ago (at 5 weeks old) he was 11 lbs and 4.5 ounces but I know he's got to be over 12 lbs by now.

Hooper now smiles when you talk to him or when he wakes up and sees you for the first time. It's the sweetest thing in the world! He definitely has an opinion on EVERYTHING, good or bad. We discovered last week that he has Reflux but thanks to God, the Pediatrician and Prevacid we now have this under control. His medicine is strawberry flavored and he thinks it's the best thing in the world! We are so blessed with him. I feared having to give him medicine, but he treats it like candy. What a champ!
Last week his brother Craig, Aunt Donna and Uncle David came in from Tennessee to meet Hooper for the first time. He had a blast with them. Boy oh boy did his Aunt Donna spoil him, ha! He loved every minute of them being here. Earlier that week my parents, Hooper's Aut and Sue-Sue came for a visit too. Sue-Sue took a day of vacation in the middle of the week because she missed him so much. This little boy is definitely loved!!!!
Below are a ton of pictures from the past 2 weeks. The most recent ones being first. He got his high chair last night and even though he does not eat in it, he likes to sit in it and be a part of family meals. He has a small co-dependency problem, ha.
Once again thanks for checking in on or little angel! We love each and everyone of you! Dee, Daphney and Hooper

Hooper in his new high chair. He's still not real sure about it.

Once again with only 1 sock. And just like his Daddy, he likes to have his feet on the table.

He looks so tiny in his high chair. It cracks me up!
This is the first time he wore shoes. He's not too sure of them either. And what a face he made...very interesting!

The Harris brothers. This is Craig's first time to hold Hooper.

Craig looks a little more comfortable with Gibson and of course Gibson worships Craig!
Gibson thinks everyone came in to visit him. Forget this baby stuff!
Aunt Donna's first time to hold her new nephew! And of course she keeps him dressed in Tennessee attire. Thanks Aunt Donna!

Uncle David's first time holding little man. Hooper was mezmorized with his facial hair.
Mommy and Hooper at an early morning feeding.
Aut would not even put Hooper down to get something to drink. He had Sue-Sue not only fix his drink but "feed" it to him. Oh my, I think Hooper may get a little spoiled!
Is this peaceful or what? We know Hooper is sleeping good when his arms are up by his head. There's no waking him in this position!
Hooper cannot keep both socks on. I'm constantly finding little socks around the house. His rapper name is "One Sock Hooper." NOT that he's going to be a rapper or even listen to that garbage, ha!
Hooper sitting in Aut's lap listening to fishing stories I'm sure.
It's Aut's job to keep Hooper's hair brushed like a little man.

Here's some beautiful photos of Hooper and his Sue-Sue. Her shade of lipstick is very becoming on Hooper's cheeks!
Oh what good snuggling!
I think Hooper's making eyes at her. And I think she's liking it!!! Watch out Aut!

New People, New Things, Same ol' Dog

This week Hooper went on his first golf outing with his Daddy. Actually we just went to the driving range but none the less Hooper had a great time, although he slept through the entire outing, ha. Then on Monday Dee had to travel to Tucson again so Hooper and I went on his first road trip to Blossom, Tx to visit. He met lots of new family and friends unfortunately I did not get a picture of him with most of them. Sorry! Below are some photos of the past few days. Enjoy and thanks for checking in on our little angel!

Hooper's cousin, Mayzie let him wear her very cool pink hat. He loved it. Hats off to you Mayzie!
Hooper enjoyed playing with his cousins Evan and Mayzie. Kaytie Jane was busy in the background playing. I wish I could have grabbed a picture of her and Hooper. Maybe next time!

Mayzie's first time to hold Hooper.

Kelly Dorries and her daughter Keara came by to visit Hooper. Unfortunately he threw a fit the entire time they were there. Keara didn't know what to think about him.

Beautiful Kelly and Keara Dorries

Long time friend David Crenshaw meeting Hooper for the first time.

Lynn and Rebekah Crenshaw couldn't get enough of our little man. The night Hooper was born the Crenshaw's drove over in the middle of the night to await his arrival. They were the only ones at the hospital who were not truly related, although we call them family!

Hooper and Daddy at the driving range. Hooper can't wait to get to play with him someday!

Dee's demonstrating to Hooper how to do it, but Hooper just can't keep his eyes open.

I just thought this one was too cute. He's got the "wiggles" as we call it. Look at that little half smile....I wonder where he gets that...hmmm maybe from his Aut?

And finally last but not least here's my favorite of the day...Hooper and Gibson. What more could be said about a boy and his dog. Too precious!
