Spring Pictures

The weekend before Easter we went to the Dallas Arboretum to take some Spring pictures of Hooper and the family. These are not in any certain order and due to having multiple shots in the same setting I am not putting captions on most of them. So these are just for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy and Happy Spring!

At first Hooper did NOT like the grass, dirt or flowers! They felt funny to him. I still love this picture. It shows his true personality!!! It cracks me up!!

We could not get him to look at the camera much at all to pose for any pictures. There were just too many new and interesting things to look at. At least he's not screaming anymore!

Please do not think I'm "All about me" in these pictures. Dee said he did not have any pictures of me and Hooper since I do most of the picture taking. So you're going to see a lot of me, sorry!

And yes, more of me......

My sweet, perfect family!

He did good crawling on the side walk but as soon as he touched grass it was a different story. "Wow Mom what is this stuff?"

That's it! Happy Spring!

Hooper's First Easter

Easter 2008 was great! Forgive the MASS of pictures but believe me it's just a drop in the bucket as to how many we took. And being a proud Mommy I couldn't leave many out when they're this cute!
We went to my parents house for the weekend and had several egg hunts. The first batch of photos is from the Easter Egg Hunt at the Blossom Volunteer Fire Dept. This is Hooper's FIRST ever time to hunt eggs.

Notice the cool football Easter basket. We could not have our boy flaunting a frilly girly basket, now could we?
You'll notice the "war wounds" in all his photos now. It looks like he's been in Iraq. But I guess it's just the boy in him constantly having bruises and scratches.
Oh how he loves his Daddy!

Hooper didn't have a clue of course on what was going on so Dee was coaching him.
"So that's what you do...you eat them. Ok I can do this!"
After a long day of egg hunting a man must take a break and slide.

This is one of my new favorite pictures! Pure innocence and sweetness!
It got a little cold outside so Dee took Hooper to the truck to wait on us (I found someone to talk to, imagine that!)
So it looks like a great time to teach Hooper a few driving lessons.
Dee's first time to push Hooper in the swings. He still doesn't know whether he's a fan or not.

The second egg hunt of the weekend was held at my older brother, Randy's house.
Ok so Hooper didn't actually "find" all these eggs, but he's interested in them at least.
"Look Mom, a pink camo egg....hmmm"

Uncle Randy helping Kinslee (my great niece) find some eggs. Now this girl new what she was doing!
We wanted to get a picture of her and Hooper together but she wanted NOTHING to do with it! Even Aut couldn't convince her!

"Ok I'll just steal her eggs then if she won't take a picture with me!"
This was as close as we got to a good picture with the two of them.
Boy does Kinslee have a bunch of eggs. She definitely beat Hooper on finding the most eggs this year.
"Hey this egg opens funny, but tastes good nonetheless."
Oga (Aut) is trying to teach Hooper how to put the eggs IN the basket.
He's found more sounds lately. Here he is making his "OOOOOOh" sound.
Kinslee's basket must taste sweet like her!
Another new sound..."bub bub bub." His mouth looks so cute when he does this one.

He enjoyed eating the leaves and grass more than anything. It was a constant battle keeping stuff out of his mouth! Good job Daddy!

The third and final egg hunt of the weekend was Sunday after church at my Aunt Connie Kay's and Uncle John John's house with all Hooper's second-cousins.
Still not into this whole egg thing!
All the kiddo's (except Maggie, she's a little small for this) "on their marks" before the egg hunt begins.
Ok who ever thought this day would ever happen?
I'm still in complete SHOCK and am a little embarassed that he would drink out of such a cup!
Kaytie Jane really knew what she was doing and did it well this year! You go girl!

Daddy had to help Hooper open his prize eggs.
My boys decked out in the Easter Orange. This is much better than that "burgundy!"
Forgive the pictures being a little out of order. For some reason it will not let me move them this time. Oh well. Here's Dee helping Hooper get the prize egg out of a tree.
These next two are some of my new favorites as well!
It just does not get any sweeter!
Evan is really studying his latest egg find.

We were trying to get a picture of Maggie and Hooper and believe it or not this was the best we could come up with. They're 2 1/2 months apart in age. Last Easter Marla and I looked like to Easter Eggs pregnant with the both of them, ha! Not the greatest picture of Dee, but check out the smile on Hooper's face. Oh these two!

Back at home Easter evening Hooper decided to do a little refrigerator digging.
Please do not look at how dirty my frig is!
"What did you say Daddy?"
"Yes I know I'm cute!"
Yesterday morning still in his PJ's Hooper apparently wanted some wine for breakfast, ha!
If you look at the bottom of the curtain seam, you'll see the bases of Gibson's water and food bowls. We have to keep them put up or you know who will have kibble for a snack! And check out the fuzz factor going on on top of his head! Too cute!!!!
"Look Mom what I found behind the curtain!"
That's all for now! We hope everyone had a very happy, meaningful Easter!
God Bless!
