Little Vol Fan!

This past Sunday was "Jersey Day" at church so Hooper went all out sporting his Tennessee Volunteer Football uniform that his Mammaw and Pappaw (Dee's parent's) brought him a couple weeks ago. This is also going to be his Halloween outfit tomorrow night so you'll see more pictures of him in it later. But we just could not resist a photo shoot opportunity so here's our Little Vol Fan!
A friend of ours Lisa, that Sue-Sue works with made this cross-stitch for Hooper with his birth year on it. Is it amazing or what? Hooper loves it! Thanks Lisa! If this blog had sound you could hear him singing "Rocky Top"
Oh how he can't wait to play for the Vol's!

We're working on his game face here! He almost has it! Looks mean doesn't he? But he isn't!
I think I'll just lay here and play with my football.
Once again singing Rocky Top!
His Daddy must be going over plays with him. He seems to be really paying attention. And check out those cleats (sp?). They make him run really fast! Thanks Aut!

My UT men!
Dee was in charge of holding the black velvet for the back drop in the photo shoot.
You would think this would be an easy task....but it's harder than one thinks, position Hooper, trying to get him to laugh and holding the black velvet. Dee is my hero!

Dee, Hooper and Gibson (of course) watching Sunday afternoon NFL after church.
What a wonderful Sunday!

September...Family Reunions, weddings, new stuff, Football and a play date.

Oh where has the time gone? I'm so far behind in posting it's going to take me a little bit to catch up. I had ALL of September 's pictures uploaded and I was working on captions when "boom" half of them vanished....I have NO idea what happened. So here's the second half of September and I'm working on the first half...again and will hopefully have them posted soon. There are tons of photos, but just because I didn't get to posting on time, I don't want to leave anything out.

September was filled with lots of traveling for Hooper. He went to his first family reunion, stayed in his first hotel room and attended his first wedding. Of course there are lots of new things he's doing too. He has become quiet the little talker. He goos, coos and cackles with the best of them. You can really carry on a conversation with him now. It's so much fun!

Dee is convinced Hooper is a prodigy child and will be walking any day now.
Check out those rolls on his legs!
I know this picture is dark due to the TV in the background but it's too funny. Gibson has become a little jealous when I hold Hooper. Here he is trying to share the recliner with us in my lap.
Hooper is learning to stick his hiney up in the air during tummy time. Not sure why, but he's sure cute doing it. He loves sucking and chewing on his hands. It sounded so fun that Dee thought they'd share in some father-son time doing it together.
Hooper has become a big football fan, Praise God! Here he is watching the Tennessee Volunteers while sitting on the couch with his Daddy.
He's really into this game~ Go Vols!
The Haywood/Davis side of my family has our annual reunion the weekend of September 28 at Daingerfield State Park in East Texas and had a ball. We rented a cabin for the weekend and Hooper really enjoyed himself. Here we are taking a family walk down by the pier.
For such a small little lake it sure is beautiful. Hooper cannot stay sitting up straight in his stroller. I guess he's just comfortable in this position because this is how he prefers to ride.....chillin' with the top down.
We've discovered how cute he looks in hats. Here he is wearing his Aut's hat (my dad).
And of course he wanted to wear his Daddy's after that. One cannot wear too many hats.
His hands were a little cold one morning so his Sue-Sue put socks on his hands. He looks like he's boxing that little toy puppy hanging down!
Hooper got to meet his Aunt Di for the first time at the reunion. Oh she thought he was special! (as we all do)

When he's sleepy he starts rubbing his eyes now. I can snuggle him up, put a little blanket over his ear and he's out like a switch. Is this sweet or what?
Since this was the Haywood Reunion Sue-Sue had to have a onesie made with his full name on it to show it off.
First time on bunk beds. No, our cabin didn't have them thank God! This was in the main cabin. Hooper loved to look up at the springs on the top bunk. Such simple things mezmorize him.
Aut and Hooper contemplating life.....
Check out those "gloves" again. I think he's totally embarassed, ha!

Aut loves to come and steal Hooper in the mornings, even from our cabin. Here they are in Aut's bunk bed.
Just let me sleep 5 minutes please....I just need a cat nap.

At this point he still has not mastered getting his hands into his mouth first, second or third try. But he definitely gets an A for effort. "Maybe if I try both hands at once I'll have better luck. "
Here is Hooper meeting his Uncle Frankie. He gave me some great advise this weekend....don't just capture the cute, fun moments on camera, be sure and take pictures of his fits too, you need to remember ALL his moments, not just his happy ones. Thanks Uncle Frankie.

On September 24 Hooper had his first play date. Andrew Brown who is 9 mos older than Hooper and goes to church with us, came over to play. He's in charge of showing Hooper the ropes as he grows up.
This is my precious friend Tiffani. She hand made this blanket for Hooper. And get this, she's never made anything like this before. How sweet is this blanket. Hooper, Dee and I will cherish it always. Thanks Tiff! I owe you a Snapple, ha!
Oh the almighty thumb! "I love to sit in my swing, watch my fishies and chew on my thumb. Life is GOOD!"

Tummy time wore him OUT!
Gibson thought he'd take a nap with him.
Check out the footsies on thise pj's. Also notice how he's flat on his back in this photo...then....
he's on his side. He is so close to rolling over but he just can't get there.
All we need for this picture is a bear skin rug! Look how good he is at holding that beautiful head up!

Dee had to go to Tucson again so my dad (Aut) came to babysit us. This is how I found them one morning. I'm not sure who wore who out first.

On September 22 my dear friend from Seminary got married. Lisa was our Maid of Honor in our wedding. So we traveled to Hot Spring,s Arkansas to celebrate this joyous occasion with her.
This is the chapel where she and Keith were married. Isn't it beautiful! Hooper's first wedding.
Dee snapped this picture when I wasn't looking. Hooper's expression is hilarious! I think he's done with taking pictures and weddings, ha!
Our little family!
He was just a little bored at the reception!
Here he is in his first hotel room stay. What great luggage he is!

At the chapel where the wedding was held was a beautiful creek and waterfall. It made for some great pictures. Hooper enjoyed all the trees. This is the final picture for now. As soon as I recover, or upload again the missing Sept pictures I'll post more. Thanks again for checking in on our little angel!
