I got tagged, ugh!

I was tagged on Facebook to do this so I thought I'd share it with the blogging world too. NO Pictures in this blog..for once it's ALL about ME!!

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

These are NOT in any particular order.

1. I married my best friend Dee after being best friends for 7 years, plus dating for another 1 1/2 yrs. During this time I set him up with everyone of my friends and I dated most of his friends. Weird huh? But I finally figured it out...you ARE suppose to marry your best friend!!

2. I won second place in a pig wresting contest in high school.

3. I LOVE costume parties! Or anything that requires a "dress in costume" attire!

4. I have the GREATEST family in the world! My husband, parents, grandmothers, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, step-son and son etc are the BEST!

5. Two words describe my best type of evening...."game night!"

6. My favorite restaurant is Houston's...even though I worked there for years as a waitress.

7. On that note if I had to choose a dream job it would be managing a Houston's if it wasn't for the hours, ugh!

8. The more people the better...anywhere!!

9. Even though I LOVE a reason for a party, I prefer to watch the Super Bowl alone with my husband. This way I actually get to "watch" it and the commercials!

10. On that note..I LOVE FOOTBALL..esp college!

11. I have one son here (Hooper) another son on the way in June and have two little girl angels in heaven due to miscarriages. It will be so fun to see them someday!

12. Although I HATE reality TV, I can't get enough of The Bachelor or Bachelorette!

13. My favorite era in time is the 50's! Oh how I would have loved wearing poodle skirts and penny loafers!

14. I wish I were a good writer! I have great story ideas but by the time I put them on paper they're only a paragraph long. This does NOT make for a good book, ha!

15. The best word to describe me is "frugal." I'm as tight as they come when it comes to spending money. And I married just the opposite! When Dee and I married (3 1/2 yrs ago) I had a TV with rabbit ears and just bought a VCR and was thrilled with my little set up. I marry a man who has the HUGE TV set up, tower of power and all the bells and whistles to go along with it. I'm doing good just to get the TV on, ha! Isn't funny how opposites attract?

16. I love a good Spring day when I can open all my windows and air the house out!

17. Laughter truly is the best medicine for me!

18. Since I DO NOT scrapbook I'm addicted to blogging Hooper's life. Check it out http://dharrisfamily.blogspot.com (you bloggers are already here, sorry)

19. I'm still waiting for "Friends" to reunite and make another 10 years of fun for us! Or even a movie would be nice.

20. Traveling is one of my favorite past times but I just haven't done NEAR enough of it! Kids really are a blessing but they do get in the way of this hobby.

21. I LOVE the GREAT OUTDOORS! Take me hiking, canoeing or camping anytime!

22. To contradict the above statement New York City is my favorite place on earth...right now. The more I travel that could change (small chance, but possible I guess).

23. Hooper's laughter is the greatest sound on Earth!

24. I still feel too young to have kids but my doctor keeps telling me I'm getting too old for this. When do you actually start to feel your age anyhow?

25. I can't believe that I'd rather stay in on a Saturday night with my family, watch a movie and go to bed at a decent hour than paint the town red. I AM OLD!!

Partners in CRIME!

As most of you know I watch a little boy named William during the week. What a HUGE blessing he is to our house! He and Hooper have SO much FUN together...but watch out! These faces may appear innocent...but looks are deceiving! Two toddler boys together means only one thing....TROUBLE! Crash! I love this picture b/c they're both looking at the tub like "what happened?"
Notice anything about this shot? Like their wet clothes? No it's not water..its WINDEX! Yes Windex. I thought they were too quiet one day last week so I went to investigate. They were both hiding behind the rocking chair and I saw something blue...hmmm what could it be? One of them (Hooper I'm sure) crawled up and got the Windex off the ledge and they were having a good time with it. Their clothes were soaked and Hooper's mouth smelled strongly of it. Immediately I called Poison Control and had to wash their mouths out and "monitor" them for an hour. Thank God they were fine!
So it was off to the tub for both of them to wash off the Windex.
I think I smell some serious black mailing when they get older for these photos!

My little clean monkey and dinosaur! Windex FREE!
Fresh and clean as a whistle! Don't they look innocent? Hooper's saying "vroom vroom" at the cars going by as William says "beep beep."
Have I mentioned that it's NEVER boring around here!? And think...we're about to have another BOY in the mix. He better be tough is all I have to say!

My little chef!

I was cooking last week and Hooper decided he wanted to help. So I pulled the step stool up and he was entertained for the longest time. He would take the spices and shake them, stir his spoon in his bowl and was just thrilled...until he fell off the stool and bumped his head! No more step stool unfortunately. He's so good that he taste tests the spices to make sure they're still good.

This is one serious chef!

Watch out Emeril...here comes Hooper!

Playtime with Daddy

Hooper's FAVORITE thing in the world to do is play rough with his Daddy! And they have a BLAST...both of them!
He was "hiding" from Daddy...ostrich style!
Stand off!
All of a sudden he had to take a quick break and ride his horse and watch a glimpse of cartoons. I guess he had to catch his breath, ha.
Back to tickle time.

Who couldn't love these two?

One of my FAVORITE pictures!
Hiding again.
Oh, over the head!
"Let's ride Daddy like a bull"

Notice the chair lying on it's side in the background. Yes we still have to do this to keep Hooper from climbing onto the table!

"Hooper the Helper"

Whatever Dee or I am doing Hooper HAS to help! The other day when I was doing laundry I had taken the clothes to the living room to fold and I heard Hooper yelling from the laundry room. I went in to see what was up and he was stuck like this. Poor guy!Later that night I had Bible Study so it was just Dee and Hooper. Well Dee was working on fixing the back door mini blinds and of course....Hooper grabbed the screwdriver and helped. This doesn't fall under the Child Labor Act does it?
I hope he's always so willing to help out Mommy and Daddy! Esp. when Neyland gets here!

Reading

Hooper got quiet the other day and when I found him he had crawled up into his rocking chair, put his toothbrush in his mouth and was reading one of his favorite books "Yola the Yellow Cab." If you haven't read it, you just don't know what you're missing, ha! Hey at least he's doing 2 good things at once...reading and brushing his teeth. His Nana would be so proud!

Just an ordinary day

While I was cooking dinner one night last week Hooper went to the pantry, got out the box of Cheerios, took it to the living room where his cartoons were playing and had himself a little snack. I love how he put the Cheerios container on top of another box to make it easier to get into. Genious! For those of you with little ones you know how the hours between 4 and 6pm are considered "h*ll hour" right? Well I'm trying anything to help this time be "nice hour" instead so if anyone has any suggestions I'm OPEN!!! Anyhow here's one of my solutions...and don't worry grandparents, I NEVER leave him alone or out of immediate reach or next to anything hot or sharp. But this DOES work!
Just look how content he is!
For Christmas he recieved this toy called Fridge Phonics and it's wonderful!!! You put the letters in the device (on the floor) and it tells the letter name and the sound it makes also sings the alphabet. Hooper LOVES it! Thanks Mamaw and Papaw!
Happy Monday everyone!

Haircut time...again!

Yes, it's that time again. Time for Hooper to get another haircut. He has to go everytime Dee goes which is approx. every 6 weeks. This kid has some hair! And he still HATES getting it cut. However this time he did much better. You can't tell it from the pictures, but trust us, it was much better. We are hoping we see the light at the end of the tunnel with this!
I LOVE this picture! The cutting hasn't even began and Hooper's already crying.
Dee is such a good Daddy!Even the Sponge Bob bib didn't help at first.
But Papa has a balloon that DID help!
Especially when he got the air gun a hold of it!
Look how handsome he is! Fresh spike!
And the prize sucker always makes a boy feel better!
Now Dee's turn! If we can just get him to calm down. Maybe this is where Hooper gets it.
You can't tell he was just screaming his head off a few minutes before can you?
Papa sure likes his new hair do!
Grandparents, a sucker and a balloon...life is good again!

Bean bags, raisins and more grandparent pictures

What a night these 3 must have had! Yes, this is it I promise...no more pictures of the same night....but they're just too cute not to post and besides if you didn't want to see pictures of our little angel then you wouldn't be here. So I aim to please...here's some more cute shots from Hooper's night with Nana and Papa last weekend.
*
Look at him...he's loosing that baby look and looking more and more like a little boy!
I'm NOT READY FOR THIS!!!!
I'm not going to say who, but someone gave him raisins....and not in his highchair.....grandparents! HA Caught with his hand in the cookie jar! (or raisin box)
His Papaw Harris would be proud! They're raisin buddies together!

"I'm only eating 4 mom...promise."

He loves to "love" on Moses, but Moses wants nothing to do with him. He's laying his head down here trying to give him some love, but as you see Moses ran off.
Peek-a-boo!
Since he couldn't give Moses love it looks like Nana got it all!
Ride em' Cowboy! His Nana and Papa gave him this for Christmas and boy does he wear it out!
Bathtime! Papa is teaching him how to play with his lips and make funny sounds. I'm not sure who had the most fun!
Off to bed! That's it for the wild night Hooper had babysitting! He sure had FUN!!!!
